I had the pleasure of covering the RSM Charity wiffle ball game tonight.

It started off with Zach Johnson saying a beautiful prayer. The 2 Time PGA Tour Major Champion really outdid himself.

Then we had the adorable Caroline Sexton, who is only 9 years old, sing the National Anthem.

Caroline goes to Oglethorpe Elementary and did us proud both this year and last year singing the National Anthem.

She was welcomed back with open arms this year. Hopefully she will sing it again next year! What a cutie!!

This game features the PGA pros vs their wives and a lot of kids!! How cool is it to see them play and take it so seriously!

Last year the guys won so the girls were the guests this year.

It doesn’t matter because everything that is donated goes directly to the Altama Elementry School children.

The foundation that receives the proceeds from the wiffle ball game is “Blessings in a Backpack”.

This charity provides elementary kids food on the weekends. So many of our neighbors need help and these fine folks help anyway they can.

Some of the sponsors are Krispy Kreme donuts, Davis Love Foundation, Trotland Group, Chick Fil A, Ace Hardware, and several others!

What a thrill it was covering this awesome event. I hope to cover it for years to come.

Looking forward to a great week on St. Simon’s Island and the RSM Classic.
