Manny Ramirez, the 12 time MLB All-star is homeless once again. Manny is a man without a team. The Rangers released him from his minor league deal to pursue other interests. The question now becomes who is going to show interest in the aging 41-year-old.
According to the Rangers G.M. Jon Daniels, the team simply had no room on the roster in the big leagues for Ramirez. He was signed to a minor league deal a little over a month ago and he hasn’t performed as well as the Rangers had hoped.
Ramirez hit .259 with 3 homes runs and 13 RBI’s in the 30 games he was with the minor league team. who would the Rangers get rid of for a guy like Ramirez? The Rangers are playing well as a team and you could see why there isn’t room for Manny.
Just have a look at his numbers. They aren’t that impressive for a guy who once had a lifetime average of .319. Ramirez could end up on another team, but I think he is going to be hard pressed to find a home in the majors.
He may as well think about retirement. remember he started his year off playing ball in Taiwan this season.
